Every holiday season, the same question comes up:
What do you buy someone who already has everything?
I’ve been there myself. Last year was no different—until I came across a small kitchen tool that genuinely caught my attention.
As a professional chef, I see this problem constantly. Friends and family cooking with dangerously dull knives—and most of them don’t even realize it. They assume dull knives are just part of cooking and learn to work around it.
Some do try to sharpen their knives, usually with pull-through sharpeners. And as a chef, I know those often do more harm than good (I’ll explain why in a moment).
The reality is this: not everyone has the time—or desire—to master whetstones the way I did. Between work, kids, and daily life, most people just need something simple that actually works.
That’s when I found it.
And it was so effective that I stopped using whetstones myself.
Here’s why.
