The Tawashi is the Japanese scrubbing brush. This one has a hand-finished moso bamboo handle and natural tampico bristles, a stiff plant fiber that softens a little when wet.
The handle is turned from a single piece of FSC-certified bamboo and sanded smooth. The bristles scrub cast iron and seasoned pans, and are gentle on porcelain, crystal and stainless steel. A built-in cord lets it hang to dry between uses.
