This is a heavy enameled cast iron casserole with a tempered glass lid. The dense iron holds heat and spreads it evenly, so braises, stews and roasts cook slowly and well.
The glass lid shows the pot at a glance, so heat and moisture stay inside. The lid knob is heat-resistant stainless steel. Two cast iron loop handles give you a secure grip when you lift it or carry it to the table.
